Don't Worry, Palin; We're Still Paying Attention to You
Published February 05, 2009 @ 07:04AM PT
Just not the kind of attention you'd like.

A new Web site from Defenders of Wildlife, EyeOnPalin.org, vows to keep "exposing Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's anti-conservation agenda." See the video:
Palin, unsurprisingly, has a few things to say about the campaign. And equally unsurprising is the fact that despite responding, she has managed to say nothing of substance, nothing to counter the obvious truth that her wolf-killing efforts are anything but despicable.
See her indignant response to Defenders of Wildlife here.
And then see Defenders of Wildlife's counter to it:
As we've seen before, what you often get in response from Governor Palin when she is challenged is not a rational defense of what she’s doing, but rather name calling and a very transparent attempt at spin control. But then again, since there is no defense for her aerial wolf slaughter program, it may be that she feels there really isn’t much else she can do.
Governor Palin speaks of "science" supporting her aerial killing program, but in spite of numerous requests, they have never produced anything even resembling reasonable scientific justification. . . . Literally hundreds of wildlife scientists have repeatedly condemned her program and she has not once provided any evidence to refute their charges that what she is doing is unscientific.

What is she talking about? Palin reminds me of the unthinking people I knew in high school, who weren't smart enough to do anything without cheating... particularly this girl who wanted to be a vet but hated hearing about animal suffering, loved eating meat, was constantly telling me she disapproved of homosexuality, told me she would never get an abortion if she were raped..... if these people could only think for themselves, for heaven's sake! The world would be so different if only that...

This GREAT! I have been waiting for a website that keeps an eye on where our biggest disaters are germinating. Although she is as veiled as they come she is even more dangerous because of her need to be in the limelight. Words of divisiveness and hatred flow too easily from her as she incites violence amongst gullible humans and encourages violence against innocent animals.

Do you ever notice how AR detractors or people (like Palin) who defend their abuse-of-choice like to say the AR organizations are doing things (like defending the wolves) as a fundraising ploy? I've heard that a few times within the past week. I think the pro-circus people said it in relation to their court case. People can take action without feeling that they have to also make a donation. Information can be disseminated far and wide for free.

“Shame on the Defenders of Wildlife for twisting the truth in an effort to raise funds from innocent and hard-pressed Americans struggling with these rough economic times.”
Shame on her for twisting the truth -- both now, and during the Presidential campaign. She is all that she accuses others of being, including "reprehensible and hypocritical".

FANTASTIC blog.Thank you so much Stephanie for writing about about this very important site. Defender's is a wonderful non-profit that I dearly care about and am so thankful that they have shown Palin's true side.

Raise funds for what? How does her comment make any sense at all? Why would a NON-PROFIT organization (openly) dedicated to defending animals be using the defense of animals to secretly "fundraise" for the defense of animals?
People who have nothing to say and much to gain by saying something will tend to spout a bunch of garbage, in this case filled with words that are supposed to create the illusion that something terrible is going on that she is speaking out against. Her mouth is just filled with words that have absolutely no meaning other than "negatory."

I love how Palin, in her response, tried to play the economic angle by saying that the Defenders of Wildlife are trying to "deceive Americans into parting with their hard-earned money." Its as if her defense to everything, no matter how unrelated, is that she is the defender of the working class.

There's a video on Youtube, i forget what it's called but if you search the "Defenders of Wildlife" page you can find it in there posted videos. Defenders of Wildlife interviewed a few Alaskan hunters that hunt mainly deer, geese, moose, and one of the quotes I remember from one of them was something like "There isn't any skill required in aerial hunting, it's just wrong, it isn't hunting, and it should stop."
Even men who see dying animals many times in their lives recognize when something is wrong, and this is definitely wrong.

Palin's agenda is purely, solely and selfishly only profit based. She lavishes support for the big oil co.s, drilling and the profits from hunting at the cost and destruction of the Alaskan wilderness, waters and animals that live there. Why worry about the moose population being thinned by wolves? Because it will cut into the profits of attracting hunters who will spend more money in Alaska. Who else would be proud of a photo showing her surround by dead carcasses hanging on the walls of her home and her parents home?

Just a little banner that I was 'inspired' to make
"Of all the creatures, man is the most detestable. Of the entire brood, he's the one that possesses malice. He is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. The fact that man knows right from wrong proves his intellectual superiority to the other creatures; but the fact that he can do wrong proves his moral inferiority to any creature that cannot." - Mark Twain - American Novelist

Sarah Palin is the biggest hypocrite alive. She accuses the Defenders of Wildlife of cheating people out of their money when that is exactly what she is doing with her loathsome aerial hunting program. Any money donated to the Defenders of Wildlife obviously went into the making of the video and the enormous cost of airing it during last year's election campaign. I don't have the (polite) words to describe how I feel about that woman.

Are we still paying attention here? I don't see anything here since February.
Sometimes I dread opening my e-mails, especially when I see this sick s**t.
This is the latest from Eye On Palin.
Unfortunately, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s administration has opened up a terrible new front in her war on wolves. At least 66 wolves near the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve have been killed by aerial gunners in helicopters in the last few days! Worse, her Board of Game has also approved plans to use poison gas and snares to kill wolf pups and their families in and around their dens.
This week, Palin’s henchmen have killed 66 wolves, using helicopters, spotter planes and aerial gunners. To make matters even worse, Palin’s Board of Game has approved the use of poison gas and deadly snares to kill defenseless wolf pups and their families in and around their dens.
PLEASE, CAN'T SOMEONE DO SOMETHING TO STOP THIS!!!
Where is Obama in all this???
