Bush Finalizes Rule Weakening Endangered Species Act
Published December 13, 2008 @ 09:25AM PT
Remember this post--"Bush Is Leaving Office--and Taking the ESA with Him"?
Feel free to assume that if Global Warming guest blogger Edward Hume hadn't beaten me to covering what happened late this week in his post "Update: Bush's Midnight Mischief Weakens Wildlife Protections," you would now be saddled with reading another angry, sarcasm-laden post from me on this topic. Instead you can go read Edward's coverage of Bush's latest stunt.

There was a rather right wing leaning rector who celebrated the Eucharist for W when he was a Churchman. Then he joined his wife in the UMC and still, in that denomination with a strong social conscience, it seems that for Mr. Bush, profit always trumps justice and compassion.
There are two rather special, if discordant members of our family. We are a same sex family with a six year old son and then we have two "girls" in the house.......Millie.....a Bengal cat who mothers us all and is nine years old.....and Gizzie.....a two year old Boston Terrier (what do you expect from this old swamp Yankee?) who has taken all the love and abuse mix that a toddler could dole out, all the while loving each other dearly.
BushCo is merely a brand covering men and women who never miss an opportunity to destroy God's earth and creatures for the enrichment of a few.

Bush's Daddy is a big bad Game Hunter. He and Gen. Schwartzcroft likes killing lions and other endangered species Can't have these laws on the books cumming up the works preventing Daddy from enjoying his sport. Thank God this Bush endurance nightmare is almost over.

Why does that not surprise me?
Why do I see the Bush right wingers as butchers rather than individuals interested in a photographic safari?
I know, it is because I am a bleeding heart LIBRUL.
Well, guilty as charged !!! 62 years old and not likely to change.

Having read Kitty Kelley's books on the two Bush presidents, I would say that they both enjoyed giving and receiving "heads".
Seriously, Lisa, we seem to take pride in destroying the planet and removing certain species from existence.

And unfortunately, IRONY is lost on too many people. ;)
I'd love to see a world where people take pride in adoring the planet, worshiping the species we still have & caring for our fellow wo/man, instead of making fun of the people who already do.

Amen, brothers and sisters.
Raymond: I laughed out loud at your spelling of "liberal." I'm somewhat of a Yankee stuck in the south where I don't belong.
