A Lesson in Beauty

If there is one instinct
I just can't get with at all,
it's the urge to kill something beautiful
just to hang it on your wall.
-Ani DiFranco, "Unrequited"
Some friends and I are Twittering Ani lyrics today, and I figured I'd let that little project blend into the blog. We'll forgive her the unfortunate "something" and "it" this time.
Beautiful, natural:

Violent. Not beautiful, not natural:

Beautiful, natural:

Violent. Not beautiful, not natural:

Beautiful, natural:

Violent. Not beautiful, not natural. And a lot of other things:

Vomit?
African Gray Parrots belong in Africa not in your home in a cage with their wings cut ! Perhaps if your going to be an animal activist you might look in your own house for how you yourself violate animal rights ?
seems to me you are the pot calling the kettle black?

Wow Jere! That was really harsh. How can you make such a statement without knowing the circumstances? Perhaps Mandi rescued the parrot in her picture. I am so sick of narrow minded people.

You belong in Africa, Jere. All humans are originally from there.

I am so hoping that sarah Palin's days are numbered in here position as Govenor of Alaska. She is a vile example of the human species, and her agends DOES NOT represent all or in fact many Alaskans. She is strictly personally motivated and interested in causes that support her career.
The wolves and all predators of Alaska desparately need the attention of the rest of the United States people. We are alone here in trying to bring her record of blantant disregard of wildlife except her willingness to wipe them off the planet.
