LINK:Maximum Penalty for the Men Who Hacked Up a Puppy
Hardened police officers were shocked by the horrifying torture, mutilation and brutal slaying of a seven month old fox terrier puppy near Mackay, Australia. Police have even obtained graphic video footage of the terrible attack. The maximum penalty for such an offense is $75,000 or two years in jail but to date, the worst sentence has only been a four month jail term.
Sign this petition to make sure these criminals don't get off the hook with anything other than the absolute maximum punishment:

Those who harm the blameless are themselves deeply troubled and in pain. They need help which most bureaucracies are ill-equipped and inadequately funded to give; and more than that, there needs to be a sea change in ALL of the world's societies and a 180 degree shift away from capitalism, materialism, and fear-engendered violence, and toward compassion, tolerance, understanding, respect, caring, and the promotion of a humane ethic toward ALL living beings, at every level of society. Anything less, and we have what we have all over the world -- unchecked violence, being directed first and foremost toward those with the least chance of being able to fight back or advocate for themselves. If we REALLY want to end violence in our societies, we will never be able to build enough prisons or punish enough perpetrators to eradicate it. WE must be the change we want to occur, and we must start by treating our fellow human beings caringly, with no exceptions, from birth onward.

I'm not a violent man by nature, but I would break their arms.

I'm the owner of a rescued wire fox terrier. This picture is a cross. We need to send a clear message that this behavior
will not be tolerated.
